Gravity and Spacetime Beyond Einstein

I finalised a paper on the above topic on 1 November 2019 as a gift to myself on my 69th birthday.  During the process the thought uppermost in my mind was if with age you gained wisdom or senility? It was only after some thought it struck me that perhaps both are two sides of the same coin and components of the much sought after scientific Grand Unification Theory (GUT).

Anyway, in summary my theory of Spacetime and Gravity goes something like this.

Science doesn’t know what Spacetime is

  1. What is it made of?
  2. Where did it come from?
  3. Is it real or an illusory construct of human consciousness?
  4. Is it material, immaterial, continuous, discreet or just a relationship between objects?
  5. Can it be created or destroyed?
  6. What is it in spacetime that bends, warps, ripples and expands?
  7. Can it have any existence without matter and energy or vice versa?
  8. What do we mean when we talk about empty space?

Science also doesn’t know what Gravity is

  • Why does it always accompany mass?
  • How does it bend space?
  • How does it influence objects across vast cosmological distances?
  • Why does it only attract?
  • Why is it so weak?
  • Why is it difficult to unify gravity with the other three forces of nature?

How is it that we do not know some of these most fundamentals realities of our everyday existence?

My theory provides the answers in the following way

Spacetime

  1. Spacetime is granular and not a continuum.
  2. Spacetime is made up of particles called Spactrons
  3. Matter, energy, gravity, other forces and everything material is made up of Spactrons
  4. The compression, ripples, warping of spacetime is the result of the spacetime Spactrons density differential.

Gravity

  1. Gravity is the result of density differential in the spacetime surrounding mass and not the result of the curvature of spacetime suggested by Einstein
  2. Gravity always accompanies mass because both mass and gravity are the products of spacetime Spactrons, with mass being the product of densely bunched up Spactrons and gravity the product of rarefaction of Spactrons
  3. Gravity only attracts because any object in the Gravity Horizon of rarefied Spactrons is always attracted towards the high-density mass Spactrons

So what is this mysterious Spactron?

Spactrons of my theory have the following attributes most of which we also ascribe to spacetime:

  1. A Spactron has three spatial and one time dimension
  2. It pervades the universe as Spacetime giving the impression of continuum which can be likened to water molecules in an ocean
  3. It is able to exist without matter and energy
  4. Since matter and energy cannot exist without spacetime, it makes Spactrons the most fundamental entity in the universe
  5. It must be able to compress, warp and change its geometry
  6. The compression of a Spactrons only changes its size but not its shape
  7. The warping is always a result of the compression of its time dimension which changes its shape due to the proportional expansion of its spatial dimensions
  8. The expansion, contraction and warping of Spactrons is always at the cost of proportional compensatory expansion, contraction and warping of surrounding spacetime Spactrons
  9. Spactrons are always attracted to high density Spactrons

What good does this theory do?

The theory surprisingly explains the following phenomenon, current scientific theories struggle to explain:

  1. It explains Spacetime and Gravity
  2. It explains the reason for non-unification of gravity with other forces
  3. It offers a pathway for unifying the General Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics,a big stumbling block in the progress of modern science
  4. It rejects the Einsteinian equivalence between Gravity and Acceleration
  5. It validates Einstein’s famous equations e = mc2
  6. It explains the slowing of time
  7. It provides a gateway to integrate all the existing theories about the fundamental nature of the universe perhaps opening a gateway to the long sought Theory of Everything
  8. It explains planetary orbits, black holes and gravitational waves

Hope the paper educates to some degree irrespective of if my theory is validated or not.
